Three massive brush fires and another flareup in Great Kills Park Thursday night -- taking firefighters about 8 hours to bring under control.

Once again, it was a fight from the ground and from the sky as helicopters carried buckets of water to try to contain the 5-alarm bushfire.

The flare up follows a pair of major fires Wednesday -- another 5-alarm blaze followed by a 6 -alarm -- drawing in fire companies from all over the city.

Fire officials say the brush fires are due to dry conditions in the area.
