Scissor Attack Leaves Teen In Critical Condition
A Brooklyn teenager faces attempted murder charges after police say he attacked a classmate with a pair of scissors, repeatedly stabbing him in the head.

According to authorities, 15-year-old Alfredo Allen and 16-year-old Chevoy Nelson were playing basketball in the gym of Eramus High School in Flatbush Tuesday, when an argument erupted between the pair.

Police say the verbal dispute turned violent when Nelson took out a pair of scissors and stabbed Allen several times in the head.

Allen was transported to a nearby hospital where he underwent surgery for his injuries. He was listed in critical condition Wednesday.

Nelson was arrested and charged with attempted murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon, police said. Students described Nelson to the New York Daily News as a " special education student."
