Pizzeria Owner Sold Illegal Prescription Pills Out Of His Restaurant

A Long Island pizzeria owner has been arrested and charged with selling illegal prescription pills inside his Suffolk County restaurant.

According to police, 50-year-old Francesco Miceli was arrested at Miceli Brothers Pizzeria and Restaurant in West Babylon Tuesday just after 6:30 p.m. The arrest was the result of a three-month investigation centered around the alleged drug activity happening at the neighborhood eatery.

Miceli has been charged with seven counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance, one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance, and one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance.

On numerous occasions police say Miceli sold quantities of illegal Oxycodone hydrochloride pills to an undercover police officer.

The Long Island man was arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Wednesday.
