Parents Arrested After Abandoning Infant At Queens Burger King
A Queens couple was arrested and charged after police say they ditched their 4-month-old infant daughter inside a Burger King late Tuesday night, police said.

According to authorities, 22-year-old Kimberly Brundidge walked into the Burger King on Rockaway Boulevard in the Springfield Gardens section some time before 11 p.m. and left the infant on a table.

A worker, later identified as the child's father 20-year-old Kesley Kendall, called police, claiming he discovered an "abandoned" baby. He failed to mention his relationship to the child, police said.

After police arrived, the infant was transported to a nearby hospital where doctors determined she was healthy and in good shape.

It was later when police say Brundidge decided to come clean, calling 911 and confessing that she abandoned her daughter inside the Queens Burger King. She also revealed that the child's father worked at the restaurant and knew about the plan to ditch the child.

A short time later, authorities arrested Kendal and charged him with falsely reporting an incident, obstruction of governmental administration and acting in a manner to injure a child. Meanwhile, Brundidge was charged with child abandonment and acting in a manner to injure a child.

On Wednesday, the victim was reportedly placed in the custody of child services.
