New York Giants offensive lineman David Diehl was arrested late Sunday on suspicion of drunk driving after he crashed his BMW into several parked cars not far from a Queens bar where he had been reportedly partying.

According to authorities, Diehl crashed his car at around 8:20 p.m. in the Astoria section.

The Daily News reports Diehl had just left the Scorpio Cafe & Bar on Broadway where he had been watching the Croatian soccer team triumph over Ireland 3-1 in the European Championship tournament.

Diehl was placed in police custody and later failed a Breathalyzer test where he registered a .18 -- which is more than double the legal limit of .08.

The star player was charged with drunken driving and released Monday afternoon following his arraignment.

The New York Giants did not release a statement on the arrest.
