No. 7 Subway Service Disrupted For 11 Straight Weekends
For the next 11 consecutive weekends, construction on the No. 7 subway line could affect how you get around on the weekends.

Here's what you need to know:

There will be no 7 trains running between Queensboro Plaza and Times Square-42nd Street.

Also, 7 trains will skip Court Square in both directions, and there will be no transfers between 7 and G trains in Court Square.

According to the MTA, there is construction being done to improve the reliability and performance of the 7 line.

Crews are doing maintenance work on the old Steinway Tunnel connecting Manhattan and Queens, and they're installing a new signal system and new track plates.

On its website, the MTA acknowledges that the changes are an inconvenience, but add that the work is necessary.
