Subway riders should prepared for a rough commute this weekend.

The MTA is planning more than two dozen service changes throughout the system because of necessary repairs.

Most subway lines will be rerouted during the weekend, with the exception of the M train and two of the system's three shuttle trains.

Shuttle buses will service skipped stations along the No. 5, A, E, F, G, L and Rockaway Park Shuttle lines.

Some riders will be more inconvenienced than others by the changes. On the No. 7 train, nearly 112,500 commuters use the 10 stations on the line that will be closed all weekend.

Transit spokeswoman Deirdre Parker says NYC Transit recently undertook four major rehab projects, which is in addition to usual weekend maintenance work.

Parker says transit officials are trying to get the work done on elevated tracks before the extremes of winter -- cold, snow and high winds -- begin.
