Missing Long Island Couple Found
An elderly Long Island couple who had been missing since they were last seen Thursday evening were found unharmed in the Westchester County town of Eastchester late Friday night, according to Westchester County police.

A Silver Alert was issued for John and Marian Rogan, both in their mid 80's, after they left the Bristal Assisted Living facility and didn't return.

The facility, located at 400 County Line Road in Massapequa, told police that the couple left in their car just after 6 p.m. Thursday and had planned to return at 9 p.m. Although residents of the facility are not required to stay on the premises, when they weren't seen or heard from after 9 p.m., officials notified the police.

According to WCBS, the couple's son-in-law, Vincent Benenati, said that the two were confused and hard to track down because they don't use an EZ Pass or credit card, and neither has a cell phone.

They had reportedly become very tired while driving and had been escorted by police to a nearby hotel. When the Nassau Police Department issued the missing persons alert, the officers returned to the hotel only to find that the Rogans had never checked in.

Details of how the couple spent the night are still unclear.
