An early morning three-alarm fire broke out in Queens Tuesday morning.

At 6am, firefighters arrived at a two-story brick commercial building at 50-10 27 Street in Long Island City. Fire officials declared the blaze three-alarms by 6:23am.

Billowing smoke from the wild fire has caused traffic delays during the morning commute as ashy clouds crossed portions of nearby Long Island Expressway near Van Dam Street.

It is unclear if the building was vacant at the time of the blaze. No injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
