BRENTWOOD, N.Y. (WPIX)—A Long Island landlord will spend time behind bars following the carbon monoxide deaths of three tenants at a West Babylon home he owned.
Wilson Milord, 50, of Brentwood, pleaded guilty in June to criminally negligent homicide in connection with the death of his tenants -- identified as Ricardo Pearce, 27, Tanisha Armstrong, 25, and Armstrong's daughter, Talani Johnson, 4 -- who died in November 2007. The four lived at a house on Sunrise Highway in West Babylon.
However, Assistant District Attorney Thalia Stavrides said she found no evidence supporting Milord's claim that tenants installed the generator.
According to prosecutors, Milord could spend up to one to three years in jail.
