Bronx Infant Dies After Allegedly Punched In Stomach By Babysitter
A Bronx babysitter is being questioned in the death of a 9-month-old boy who was killed Tuesday when he was punched in the stomach, police said.

According to authorities, the babysitter, described as a 17-year-old boy, was looking after the infant at the Marble Houses on W. 225th St. in the Kingsbridge Heights section when police received a call about an unconscious baby at around 10:20 a.m.

Upon arrival, EMS responders transported the unresponsive child, identified as Ryan Ferrer, to Montefiore Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The teen is being questioned at the 50th Precinct Stationhouse, the New York Daily News reported.
