Headless Body Washes Up On Shore Of LI Beach
A headless, badly decomposed body was discovered on a beach on the eastern end of Long Island, PIX News has learned.

According to published reports, the corpse was found by a passer by who was walking along the water in Amagansett beach Sunday afternoon.

Police say the body was in a "poor state of decomposition" suggesting that the person may have been dead for several days. Investigators are still trying to determine the body's gender as it was missing some body parts.

Amagansett beach lies just 100 miles east of a stretch of highway along Jones Beach where 10 sets of human remains have been discovered since December 2010.
