Cops Hunt Gunman In Deadly Teen Shooting
Police are asking for the public's help to find the suspect behind a deadly shooting in East Flatbush that killed one boy and injured another.

Investigators say the gunman approached a 13-year-old boy just after 7 p.m. Saturday at the corner of East 39th Street and Avenue J, shooting him in the buttocks. Then, they say, the suspect walked up to 15-year-old Dequan Mercurius and shot him in the chest. They were rushed to the hospital, where doctors pronounced Dequan dead.

Cops found the murder weapon at the scene; it's unclear if the same gun was used in both shootings.

People in the neighborhood are shocked and upset, saying it's generally a very quiet area.
