NEW YORK (PIX11)—First Responders who've died since 9/11 are finally getting their own memorial, honoring their sacrifice at Ground Zero all those years ago. It's the first and only one of its kind, and will be located in Nesconset, L.I.
The other memorials commemorate the thousands of innocent souls, who died in the World Trade Attacks 10 years-ago this Sunday.
PIX11 News helped fund the memorial, in addition to tirelessly advocating for First Responders in their uphill fight to get the H.R.847 - James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act of 2010 passed in Congress last December.
It will be dedicated later this week, and the PIX11 News team will be honored guests at a dinner to commemorate the Clock Tower Thursday night.
