26 Firefighters Injured In Massive 7-Alarm Fire In Brooklyn
Over 200 firefighters battled a massive 7-alarm fire that broke out inside an apartment building in Brooklyn Thursday morning.

The blaze was reported just after 10:30 a.m. at a 7-story building located at 665 New York Avenue in the Flatbush section.

According to officials, as many as 26 firefighters were injured, one seriously, battling the flames.

While the cause remains under investigation, reports a lightning strike that happened near the area may be to blame. FDNY officials have not yet confirmed the cause.

The Red Cross was also on the scene, assisting residents left homeless by the blaze.
