MASSAPEQUA, N.Y. (WPIX)—The elderly Long Island couple who had been missing since Thursday night, turned up without a scratch Friday in Westchester County.
John and Marian Rogan, 85 and 86 respectively, were found in Eastchester.
The Rogans live at the Bristal Assisted Living Community, where they are free to come and go as they please. The husband and wife left the facility and went for a drive in their own car; they were expected to return by 9 p.m. When they didn't show up, the staff called Nassau County police, according to Richard Youngberg, Brital's Executive Director.
At the time, police didn't know if they had gotten lost, or if they had a specific destination. Mr. And Mrs. Rogan moved to Long Island eight months ago from the upstate New York, Essex County town of Westport in the Adirondacks. It's located on Lake Champlain, 35 miles south of Plattsburgh and 93 miles south of Montreal, Canada.
