The slots are big business for the new Resorts World Casino in South Ozone Park Queens. The casino estimates 5 to 10 thousand people come through there every day.

When the casino opened in late October, it is estimated 65 thousand people visited the first weekend.

"The first day was unbelievable. It was very crowded, " said longtime resident Celia Oliveri.

And that's great for business, but it is clogging the streets surrounding the casino.

"We have a dog and he is barking constantly. The whole night through, just people are walking up and down," said Eddie Guerron. He lives a block from the casino.

While there are 6500 hundred parking spots at the casino, residents say gamblers are still parking on the quiet residential neighboring streets.

And Rockaway Boulevard is filled with people waiting to enter the casino.

The Resorts World Casino New York President, Michael Speller, says they are aware of the traffic concerns.

"We are increasing our security personnel. We are increasing our parking personnel on the property so we can manage people into the property very quickly, get them parked and into the building," said Speller.

People can also access the casino using public transportation. The A train and buses both stop there.
