ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (WPIX)—A body believed to be that of missing New Jersey man, Martin Caballero has been found off Exit 12 of the Atlantic City Expressway, police said.
Investigators say Caballero, 47, of North Bergen vanished after dropping off his family at a party. He was last seen near the Taj Mahal casino last Friday night.
Police have charged a man and woman -- who both have criminal records -- with his carjacking and kidnapping.
Caballero's vehicle, which was completely burned, was found four hours after his disappearance in Blackwood -- that's about an hour away from the original location. Moreover, officials say they have surveillance video of a man using Caballero's bank card at an ATM machine.
According to the Atlantic County prosecutor, the couple accused -- one driving Caballero's car and the other following in a silver Toyota -- had exited the expressway in Hamilton Township at 11:36 p.m. and didn't get back on until more than an hour later.
Suspect Craig Arno, 44, of Atlantic City has had numerous other charges against him, reports indicate. His alleged cohort Jessica Kisby, 24, of Egg Harbor Township was recently in jail on a parole violation related her role in a 2008 shooting, reports said.
Investigators have yet to make a positive identification on the body.
