NEW YORK (PIX11)—Amtrak decided to cancel service between NYC and Boston until Saturday, issuing the following press release:
All Amtrak service between New York and Boston is suspended until Saturday, July 23, due to damage from a heavy truck that struck the overhead power system near New Haven, Conn.
Amtrak crews are working to resolve the issue and additional information will be provided when available.
