PARSIPPANY, N.J. (PIX11)—A total of 39 children were injured in an accident involving four school buses traveling on Interstate 80 in New Jersey, authorities said.
According to officials, the children who range in age from 9 to 10, were traveling from Lindernmeyer Sports Camp in Tannersville, Pa. to Six Flags Adventure amusement park in Jackson, N.J. Thursday when one bus rear-ended another bus.
The injuries sustained by the 39 passengers are described as non-life threatening. A total of 100 passengers were on board all the buses at the time of the accident.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
