V-DOT reports that both crashes on Interstate 81 have been cleared and traffic is moving normally at this hour.
V-DOT reports that crews have cleared the scene of a tractor-trailer crash on Interstate 81 in Roanoke County. Traffic is running smoothly in that area again.
However, in Rockbridge County, the department says there is still a bit of a backup following a vehicle accident that happened on I-81 there at about 2:15pm Monday. Traffic delays are still reported to be about three miles in the northbound lanes near mile marker 198.
V-DOT now now reports the tractor-trailer crash on Interstate 81 on Roanoke County is causing backups of four miles now. That crash happened just before 2:30pm Monday.
Now, the department is also reporting a second crash on I-81, at mile marker 198. This one is in Rockbridge County and backups are already up to seven miles. It's unclear how many vehicles were involved in this second crash, which happened at about 2:15pm Monday.
