Salem High School Forensics team wins its eighth straight state title

The Salem High School Forensics team continued its dominance over the weekend, winning its eighth straight Virginia High School League state Group AA title on Saturday.

The Spartans sealed the title with a 56-17 win over John Handley on Saturday in Harrisonburg.

Salem now has the third longest streak in VHSL Forensics history, behind Blacksburg’s 15 consecutive championships from 1989 to 2003.

The Salem High School Forensics Team won its 8th straight Virginia High School League state title on Saturday at the Group AA championships in Harrisonburg. Salem captured its latest VHSL championship by beating second place John Handley 56-17.
