ROANOKE, Va.—A Roanoke accountant was indicted Tuesday by a Roanoke City Grand Jury for embezzling money from a youth rec club.
Bob Collis is accused of embezzling money while he was treasurer of the Greater Southwest Athletics Association.
Prosecutors say $85,000 went missing this summer.
He eventually repaid the money.
The Greater Southwest Athletics Association is a youth sports league that represents about 3,000 kids in Southwest Roanoke.
Collis is no longer the group's treasurer.
