The blast left 14 dead and more than 200 people hurt, including first responders.
Monday morning the volunteer fire chief, Tim Smith who's also famous for his reality show "Moonshiners", made his first stop in a bus at Ringgold Volunteer Fire Department.
Crews there loaded air tanks, masks and gave a donation for fire departments in Texas that lost equipment.
Smith says he got the idea last week after seeing the destruction on TV.
"I started this by work of mouth. Just talking to people and saying, 'hey what can we do?' And everybody was like we can take something, we can send something money whatever and I'm like, I'm just going to get on my truck a go," Smith said.
A friend donated the bus for Smith's trip. He's stopping at fire departments to collect money and equipment during his eight day trip.
He's hoping to fill the bus before getting to Texas.
