Mitt Romney to deliver speech at VMI on Monday

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney will deliver a foreign policy speech Monday at Virginia Military Institute in Lexington.

According to a news release from the Romney campaign, the former Massachusetts governor will share his vision for a strong foreign policy “and the failed record of President Obama.”

The event is expected to start at 11:20 a.m. Monday. Romney's speech is not open to the public. VMI does not have any other details about Romney's appearance.

This is at least Romney's third visit to the WDBJ7 viewing area. Romney gave the commencement speech at Liberty University in May, and he spoke at Cater Machinery in Salem back in June.

Romney and his running mate, Paul Ryan, are in Augusta County on Thursday. That event will start at 6:45 p.m. Thursday.

WDBJ7 will live stream the Augusta County appearance. To watch live, click here. WDBJ7 will also have coverage of that event at 5, 6, 10, and 11.
