Teens took more than a Sunday drive in Halifax County today.
They got a lesson from a group of concerned adults on how to prevent crashes.
It was a lesson behind the wheel they won't soon forget here at the Virginia International Raceway.
Daniel Wagner with help from other driving instructors created Teen Driving Solutions.
It's a program with a simple message according to driving instructors.
By preparing for the drive ahead and using quick thinking techniques to make good decisions.
"Unfortunately drivers education in this country is an oxymoron. So we want to do something about it. We want to create a difference because it's more than about the rules of the road it's about showing kids how to make good decisions," said Chuck Hawks, a driving instructor.
Instructors say driving is the number one cause of death for teens in America.
They hope this course will change that statistic.
