Search warrants filed in the Montgomery County courthouse provide new details in the arrest of a Christiansburg gymnastics teacher.
Kenneth Epperly, 63, is charged with two counts of taking indecent liberties with a child. He is the program manager and co-director of the pre-school program at the New River Valley Gymnastics/Epperly Elite Training Center.
According to search warrants, the charges are from two separate incidents, with two different children from the gym.
One of the incidents happened during an over-night sleepover at the gym, according to the warrant. A mother told police, her five-year-old daughter told her Epperly watched her use the bathroom and then exposed himself to her, according to the search warrant.
In a separate incident, a mother told police her daughter told her Epperly inappropriately touched her in his office and in the bathroom at the gym, according to the search warrant.
Epperly's attorney says his client denies the charges.
He's in jail, being held without bond.
Christiansburg police searched the gymnastics center and Epperly's Christiansburg home. According to the search warrants, police seized rosters, schedules and paperwork related to the business.
Epperly and his family have owned the New River Valley Gymnastics center in Christiansburg since 2001.
The website says they've trained more than 1,500 children.

The Christiansburg Police Department has charged a local man for allegedly taking indecent liberties with two children.
Christiansburg resident Kenneth Austin Epperly, 63, is charged with two (2) counts of taking indecent liberties with a child, a Class 5 felony.
The charges stem from separate incidents that allegedly occurred at the New River Valley Gymnastics/Epperly Elite Training Center, where Mr. Epperly is the Program Manager and Co-Director of the Pre-School Program.
Both children were under the age of six at the time of the alleged offenses.
Epperly is currently being held at the Montgomery County Jail on no bond. He is scheduled to be arraigned on July 11, 2011, at 1:00 p.m.
