It's been nearly a couple of years since the old Blacksburg Middle School was torn down to make room for a big new project in town
Tempers and patience have been wearing thin between Montgomery County and the Town of Blacksburg, when it comes to progress on the old BMS site.
The world's second largest cloud hosting company, Rackspace, WAS going to build on the property, but decided instead to build at Virginia Tech's Corporate Research Center. Doug Juanarena is the Vice-president, and says
"We gave the developer, and the town and the council as much time as we possibly could and for us, it's the risk of not being able to grow or to wait, and we're going ot take growth over waiting."
On Friday, the developer proposed its final plans. The county says this Monday night around 7oclock at the Montgomery County Government Center, the public will see and hear from the developer.
