KANSAS CITY, Mo.—A family is desperately searching for their family member who vanished without a trace. Richard Solis disappeared over the weekend . He is legally blind and has a number of medical issues.
The family walked the streets on Wednesday night passing out flyers to get the word out about Soils. About 50 of his friends, family and neighbors split into small groups to make people aware that Solis is missing.
Dr. Paul Moore is Solis' nephew. He and other family members have been looking on their own, but they hoped volunteers would help. They went door to door showing pictures and asking questions to find clues in his whereabouts. The only clue they have so far is that his medication shows he disappeared sometime Saturday afternoon.
"His pill bottles are set out for the week," said Solis' nephew Dr. Paul Moore. "The last time he took was Saturday morning."
Solis has multiple health issues that require medication. He is also legally blind and has dementia. This is why his family says they need to find him soon. His family is also concerned because Solis disappeared near a wooded area and the river is nearby. Family and friends say they will stay positive until he is found.
