We've all heard of eco-friendly, but Stefanie Iris Weiss has just coined a new term: eco-sexual.
In her book, "Eco-Sex: Go Green Between the Sheets and Make Your Love Life Sustainable," published by Ten Speed Press, Weiss discusses the dire importance of going green even within your sex life.
"One of the best reasons to become an eco-sexual is that, if you don't, in a few decades you might not have time for sex you'll be too busy searching for food or escaping from coastal flooding, hurricanes, drought, and general blight," she says.
A bit dramatic? Possibly. But she may just be onto something if this means saving your sex life.
Weiss, who has written nine books on green living and has written for "Elle UK" and "Marie Claire," reveals the secrets to being eco-sexual in a smart, easygoing way.
Whether it's avoiding toxic ingredients in personal care products, using green DIY beauty products or wearing green fabrics, Weiss' tips will make you look and feel sexier.
She details organic foods that are known for being aphrodisiacs, gives recipes for sensual dishes and highlights some eco-friendly wines to go along with the meals.
Weiss even discusses the environmental-unfriendliness of romantic gifts such as flowers and diamonds, and gives green alternatives.
She covers virtually every element of sexual living, from contraceptives to bedroom furniture. So if you want to merely dip your feet in the eco-sexual pool or dive in headfirst, the tips are endless.
