General James J. Andrews (c.1829 - 1862) and William Allen Fuller (1836 - 1905), took part in the 'Great Locomotive Chase' of 1862. Andrews, a Union agent during the American Civil War, hijacked a Confederate train named 'The General' in Marietta, Georgia on April 12th. Fuller, the train's conductor, pursued the hijackers until they were apprehended and hanged.
