Sia, Kendrick Lamar release music video tribute to 49 Pulse victims

Sia releases music video tribute to 49 Pulse shooting victims, 'The Greatest' features Kendrick Lamar

Australian singer songwriter Sia and rapper Kendrick Lamar released an emotional video tribute to the 49 victims of the June 12 shooting at Pulse Nightclub on Monday.

"The Greatest" features 13-year-old dancer Maddie Ziegler, who has starred in many of Sia’s music videos and live performances.

Opening with a black screen and the hashtag #WeAreYourChildren Ziegler is accompanied by 49 other dancers representing the people gunned down at Pulse earlier this summer, according to Billboard.com.

The full song with Lamar's verse can be downloaded on iTunes and Spotify.

At the close of the video, the group of dancers fall to the ground in a pile and an emotional Ziegler appears with rainbow-streaked tears after more than a minute of silence.

Since the tragedy at Pulse, the art community has come out in force to show support for the victims and survivors — from a one-night Broadway event at the Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts to a tribute video featuring Lady Gaga and Kerry Washington.

Sia has a planned Oct. 30 stop in Orlando for her "Nostalgic for the Present" tour. Tickets to the concert at Amway Center are on sale now.

Sia and Lamar have yet to comment on the video.
