Simple Things You Can Do To Increase Your Garage Sale Profits:
When setting up a garage sale, you need to keep in mind that you are really setting up a "store" for your customers to shop. To maximize revenue - make it appealing & easy to find things. Follow these tips:
Advertise your sale, local paper and Craig's List, grocery store bulletin board, word of mouth etc.
Cover tables so they look nice, it's all about the display
Set up shopping zones, kids toys, kitchen, gifts, linens & towels, Christmas
Hang up or sort and mark clothes by size
Arrange things in an appealing way (make sure they are clean)
Display books in an upright easy to view way
Price everything individually or with easy to find and read signs, people hate asking for prices
Have plenty of change and $1.00 bills on day of the sale
Look up comparative pricing on EBay if you are unsure how to price some of your better items.
Make easy to read & follow outside signs so people can easily find you.
Box your unsold items up at the end of the sale and take to a donation center (get a receipt for your taxes).
Keep in mind the kind of shopping experience you wish to have when you shop anywhere and you will be doing well. For more information contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
