Weiner mocked as New Yorker cartoon character
The New Yorker magazine is turning heads once again this month, with a controversial cover featuring Anthony Weiner as a cartoon character.

The New York City mayoral candidate appears to pay homage to King Kong scaling the Empire State Building. Only the fallen Congressman is seen taking a photo of the spire between his legs with a smart phone.

The cover is released the same week amid new details involving a sexting scandal that threatened his attempted political comeback. Weiner admitted he exchanged racy messages with up to 10 women after a similar scandal forced him to resign from Congress.

Weiner insists he will stay in New York City's mayoral race.

John Cuneo, the artist, told the New Yorker's culture blog that he hoped Weiner would still be in the race by the time the "Carlos Danger" issue hit stands.

"With a topic like Anthony Weiner, how can you find anything broad or funny that he hasn't already personally breached?" he said.
