Troopers Seek Public's Help Identifying Fairbanks Sexual Assault Suspect

Alaska State Trooper officials are asking for the public’s help in identifying an alleged would-be sexual assault suspect.

A teenager in Fairbanks reported hearing a cry for help in a wooded area off of Loftus Road Monday around 9:20 a.m. when she says an unknown man attacked her, according to a Trooper report.

Troopers spokewoman Megan Peters was unable to go into further detail about the incident due to it being an active investigation, but was able to supply details of the suspect’s description.

The suspect is believed to be a white male in his 20s, according to the trooper report. He was wearing dark jeans and a dark sweat shirt. Troopers say the man had short hair was “of average wieght and build with a scar over his eye.”

Troopers are encouraging anyone with information they believe will help in the investigation to contact them at 451-5100.
