On Saturday, a customer collapsed at the restaurant which prides itself on serving calorie-laden artery cloggers.
But, owner John Basso tells the Los Angeles Times, his customers are getting exactly what they pay for.
"We attract an avant-garde clientele -- thrill seekers, risk takers," he says, adding that his restaurant is "bad for you but fun" and "attracts people who don't really take good care of their health."
"She was eating, drinking, smoking, laughing, dancing, having fun," Basso says of the latest casualty, who was rushed off by EMTs.
"But when you treat your body like that day in and day out, eventually your body is going to give out."
In the February incident, the unidentified man suddenly began complaining of chest pains, started sweating and stuttering his words, says Basso.
The restaurant plays up its "Taste Worth Dying For" slogan by dressing waitress and cooks like medical personnel.
So, at first fellow diners and staff thought the man was joking.
But, it quickly became clear he was in serious trouble.
Basso called an ambulance and paramedics were quickly on hand to treat the man.
The 6,000 calorie Triple Bypass Burger features 3 half-pound hamburger patties with buns dipped in lard, half of an onion cooked in lard, a whole tomato, 15 pieces of bacon, cheese, and special sauce.
Diners can also enjoy a side of fries cooked in pure lard and butterfat shakes.
