Cops: Gang members shot teen tourist in head
LA MESA, Calif. -- Police arrested two San Diego gang members suspected of robbing and shooting an Arizona teenager in the head, authorities said Thursday.

Zach Lamb, 16, was visiting San Diego with his father and older brother when he was shot in the head after being robbed at the 7300 block of El Cajon Boulevard in La Mesa Monday early morning.

The Arizona resident, who was staying at a La Mesa motel, was riding his skateboard around 1:50 a.m.  Lamb said a sports utility vehicle slowly driving came to a stop where he was crossing the street.

A passenger jumped out of the vehicle, then took a personal item and a small amount of cash during the robbery, according to La Mesa police.

The East County Gang Task Force arrested 19-year-old Alvaro Regalado on Tuesdsay at his home.  Juan Arriero, 20, was arrested near his San Diego residence Wednesday by the San Diego Police Department's Gang Suppression Team.

Both men were booked into the San Diego County Jail and face several charges, including attempted murder, robbery, participation in a criminal street gang and being a gang member in possession of a firearm.
