A new study from Osaka University in Japan says that certain smells can help you lose weight.

Several scents were found to reduce appetite, aid in weight loss, provide energy for your workout, and even help you sleep better.

The scents found to be most effective are grapefruit, green apples, bananas, peppermint, lavender, and eucalyptus.

The study suggests that if you inhale one of these scents for a period of time it can help you pull back on the portion of your next meal.
