EL CENTRO — A handgun was initially reported stolen out of a car while its owner was at the American Legion, according to El Centro Police Department logs. The report was taken early Saturday morning. The reporting party called back and said he had found the gun.
Husband threatens to kill ex-girlfriend
The subject was upset that the ex-girlfriend had told the reporting party details about a previous relationship. Furthermore, the subject had been drinking earlier that day but appeared sober at the time of the incident. Moreover, he had attempted suicide over the ex-girlfriend two weeks prior, according to the logs.
El Centro Police officers met with the subject and reporting party, and contacted the ex-girlfriend. She said she did not feel threatened by the subject.
Restroom bather issued warning
A female in her 40s wearing a black t-shirt was observed for 20 to 30 minutes in the restroom of a dental office on Fourth Street on Friday afternoon, according to El Centro Police Department logs.
She yelled at employees, refused to leave and took a bath in the bathroom, states the log entry. When she left the business, she was seen walking toward The Salvation Army. She appeared to have been drinking earlier or under the influence. The suspect was issued a trespassing warning.

Field worker allegedly attempts to sell marijuana
HEBER — A field worker attempted to sell marijuana to individual near Kennedy’s Market in Heber on Friday, according to Imperial County Sheriff’s logs.
The incident occurred Friday and was reported at 5:17 p.m., according to the logs.
The individual informed the sheriff’s deputy that he saw field workers smoking marijuana in the area. However the sheriff’s deputy checked the area and did not see anyone smoking marijuana, according to the log.
