The U.S. Small Business Administration, Imperial Valley Small Business Development Center, Brawley Chamber of Commerce and San Diego State University are coming together to host the first annual Small Business Day & Lender Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 16.
San Diego SBA District Director Ruben Garcia, SBA Economic Development Specialist Jill Andrews, SBA Lead Lender Relations Specialist Julie Talley and SBA Lender Relations Specialist Maria Hughes will all be in attendance to answer questions, according to a press release from the group. Representatives from the following local SBA-approved lenders will facilitate lending opportunities during lunch: Community Valley Bank, Farm Credit Services Southwest, Rabobank N.A., and Sun Community Federal Credit Union.
High-impact sessions will include the topics “Meet the SBA,” “Business Expansion Do’s and Don’ts,” “Veterans Sustainable Agriculture Training,” “What the USDA Can Do For You,” “Benefits of Your Chamber Membership,” “Lending in Today’s Business Environment” and “Networking.”
Information will be provided for all types of businesses including agricultural, veterans, and minority owned businesses.
Lunch is included and the event is sponsored at no cost to you by the city of Brawley, Community Valley Bank, Farm Credit Services Southwest, Imperial County Community & Economic Development, Rabobank N.A., Sun Community Federal Credit Union, and the USDA.
