Imperial County sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a shooting in Winterhaven on Saturday at 8:17 p.m. that apparently left three people injured, according to El Centro police radio logs.
A man, described as Anthony Marshall Davis, was last seen leaving the area behind the Paradise Casino on foot. Davis, whose city of residence was not available, was described as being 5 feet 10 inches in height, weighing 140 pounds, having black hair and brown eyes and last seen wearing an unknown color of shirt and black shorts, the police logs stated.
Unresponsive male reported at McDonald’s
A reporting party called police Sunday at 4:24 a.m. to alert them to the presence of an unresponsive male Hispanic in his 20s laying near the flag pole at the McDonald’s fast food restaurant at 1990 S. Fourth St., according to police radio logs.
The logs state that the reporting party had asked the male to leave but was not answered.
Large fight leaves one injured
A fight that involved about 20 people near the intersection of Main Street and Seventh Street left one male injured Sunday at 2:04 a.m., police logs stated.
A 48-year-old man who was involved was reportedly transported to an area hospital via ambulance after sustaining injuries during a fall, the report read.
None of the suspects questioned by police at the scene expressed a desire to seek prosecution, the logs stated.
Glass door broken at shuttered business
Police were notified of a broken glass door at the old Big Lots building at 1525 Main St., at 11:52 p.m. on Saturday, the police logs stated.
A subsequent check of the building allowed police to determine that no one was inside at the time.
Man booked in jail for suspicion of burglary
Police were called to the 1200 block of Adams Avenue at 3:18 p.m. on Saturday after receiving a call about a suspect allegedly stealing perfume and hair clippers from an undisclosed location, the police logs stated.
The suspect, described as 36-year-old Jose Manuel Martinez, had also allegedly attempted to take a bicycle away from a passerby, who was able to retain the bike after a struggle with the suspect, the police logs stated.
Martinez was booked into county jail for suspicion of burglary, the logs stated.
Stereo stolen from vehicle
Someone broke a window to a vehicle in the 1400 block of Olive Drive and stole a stereo and damaged the steering wheel at 10:14 a.m. on Saturday, according to police logs.
No further information regarding the incident was available.
