While enterprise zones will cease to exist Jan. 1, it’s business as usual until then.
The Imperial County Board of Supervisors will be asked to approve the Calexico-County Enterprise Zone boundary at its Tuesday meeting in order for the area to retain its Targeted Employment Area designation.
2010 census did not “examine income as past practice with census collection.”
County supervisors will be asked to approve a payment of $40,000 to the Ocotillo Mutual Water Co. for its share of the costs of water connections and water service to Ocotillo County Park.
While most of the project’s costs are covered by a Proposition 84 grant and Pattern Energy, water connection and permit costs are not.
The Board of Supervisors will also be asked to approve a contract for $18,000 between the county of Imperial and the Imperial Valley Rifle & Pistol Association to allow the Imperial County Sheriff’s Office to continue to use the shooting range for training purposes.
