A workshop titled “Understanding Solar and Wind Energy for the Farm, Home, or Small Business” will be held Thursday, July 11, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Washington County Extension Office off Sharpsburg Pike.
Sponsoring organizations include University of Maryland Extension and Hagerstown Community College.
Presenters will talk about the mechanics involved with solar and wind electrical generation, taxes, incentives and best management practices for installing wind and solar installations.
The presentation will incorporate electrical production and financial data collected by HCC students from solar and wind installations in Western Maryland.
