Theft, vandalism incidents reported in Washington County
The following incidents were reported by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office:
• A Sony laptop computer and video games were stolen in the 3200 block of Gapland Road.
• A window was shattered and a metal rail was bent in the 400 block of Bentley Court.
Man struck in face by thrown posthole digger in Pa.
A man who allegedly threw a posthole digger through the front door window of a home in St. Thomas Township, Pa., has been charged with simple assault and other counts, Pennsylvania State Police said.
Jason Michael Belluscio, 34, address not provided, also was charged with criminal trespassing and criminal mischief, according to a prepared release from state police.
Troopers said the incident occurred at about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, when a man was struck in the face with the posthole digger, which was through the front door window of a home in the 7600 block of Cumberland Circle.
The man who was struck in the face suffered unknown injuries, state police said.
Waynesboro man charged with choking woman
A Waynesboro, Pa., man has been charged with choking a woman in a Gap Road home last month, Pennsylvania State Police said.
Richard Kirk Winger, 33, of 8910 Gap Road in Waynesboro, was charged with harassment and simple assault, according to a state police press release.
