Two hurt in I-81 motorcycle crash
Two people suffered major injuries when their motorcycle got a flat tire and crashed on Interstate 81 Wednesday afternoon in Franklin County, Pa., Pennsylvania State Police said.
Their conditions were unavailable Friday morning.
Troopers said Weig and Leo were traveling north on a 2008 Harley-Davidson at about 7:15 p.m. when the motorcycle got a flat tire and crashed. The motorcycle slid about 30 feet before coming to rest on the centerline.
Leo and Weig, who was driving the motorcycle, were able to get to the left shoulder of the roadway, where they waited for rescue personnel, police said.
Both suffered cuts to the face, hands and legs, according to the release.
The motorcycle was towed from the scene.
Wheelchair scooter stolen
A wheelchair scooter was stolen from a 70-year-old woman’s home Thursday on Stahle Road in Union Township, Pa., Pennsylvania State Police said.
The woman’s daughter reported the theft at 12:37 p.m., according to a state police news release.
Troopers said the scooter is red with two yellow levers. It is valued at $1,179.87.
