The 13th Celebrate Mansfield event took place on Sunday, Sept. 18.
The event began with a parade, which included local civic groups, state and local politicians, the E.O. Smith marching band, the UConn marching band, and more. The parade ended at the new town square, where it was announced that the plaza would be named for longtime Mansfield Mayor Betsy Paterson.
For the remainder of the afternoon, visitors could take advantage of dozens of booths set up in and around the town center, hosted by a wide variety of local businesses and other groups.
Activities included games, crafts, demonstrations by UConn's fine arts students, and much, much more. Musical entertainment included performances by bands Air Traffic Controllers and Bronze Radio Return.
