Rawlings Rallies Yale Past Penn On Road

Kurt Rawlings connected with Christopher Williams-Lopez for a 4-yard touchdown with 4:11 remaining as Yale rallied for a 24-19 victory over Pennsylvania on Saturday in Philadelphia.

Rawlings threw for 199 yards and two scores for the Bulldogs (5-1), who won at Penn (2-4) for the first time since 2007.

Yale's Zane Dudek had 12 rushes for 103 yards and a score.

The Quakers recovered two fumbles in the fourth quarter, and took a 19-18 lead after a 2-yard TD run by Tre Solomon. Penn's Justin Watson tied two school records by recording a TD catch in his sixth straight game as well as his 27th career score.

Sacred Heart 21, Robert Morris 14: Khaamal Whitaker had two interceptions, returning the second 46 yards for a touchdown with 12 seconds left to to lift Sacred Heart over Robert Morris in Moon Township, Pa.

The pick six came three plays after Josh Freira missed a 30-yard field goal with 43 seconds to play for the Pioneers (3-4).

Robert Morris (2-5) took a 14-7 lead earlier in the fourth quarter when Harrison Dreher scored on a 100-yard kickoff return.

Trinity 63, Bowdoin 14: Colin Beaulieu had a 72-yard rushing touchdown and scored on a punt return as Trinity cruised past Bowdoin (0-6) at Jessee/Miller Field in Hartford. Trinity (6-0) opened the scoring with three unanswered touchdowns in the first quarter. Max Chipouras, Sonny Puzzo, Shelby Grant and Nick Denicola all ran for touchdowns. Puzzo also connected with Cliff David and Jonathan Girard on TD passes.

Amherst 23, Wesleyan 19: Hasani Figueroa scored on a 51-yard run with 1:27 left in the game to help Amherst (5-1) defeat Wesleyan in a NESCAC game. Amherst quarterback Ollie Eberth completed 10 of 16 passes for 161 yards, but also threw an interception that was returned for a touchdown by Wesleyan's (4-2) Shayne Kaminski.

Assumption 41, New Haven 6: Deonte Harris returned two punts for touchdowns as Assumption rolled past New Haven.

Dylan Oxsen led Assumption (7-0) in rushing with 86 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries.

Danny Stock kicked two field goals for New Haven (6-1), while Devin Martin had five catches for 81 yards. Chargers quarterback Ajee Patterson threw for 200 yards but was intercepted three times.

MIT 30, Coast Guard 21: John Robertson rushed for 153 yards and three touchdowns on 28 carries to help MIT (6-1) defeat Coast Guard (3-5) in a NEWMAC game. Robertson scored on a 43-yard run with one minute left, and also opened the scoring with rushing touchdowns in the first and second quarters.

Coast Guard quarterback Ryan Jones completed 11 of 22 passes for a touchdown, but threw three interceptions.

Southern 28, Merrimack 9: Raymond Catapano boosted Southern (2-5) with 164 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries to help the Owls defeat Merrimack (2-5) in a Northeast-10 game. Catapano also threw a TD pass to Earl Myers, and Eli Parks had 19 carries for 68 yards. Merrimack's Derrick Villard had 20 rushes for 96 yards, but quarterback CJ Scarpa was intercepted twice.

Western 27, Bridgewater State 20: Quinn Fleeting had a tiebreaking touchdown run in the third quarter to lead Western (6-1) over Bridgewater State at Swenson Field in Bridgewater, Mass. Fleeting also threw TD passes to Jawad Chisholm, Zatrell Lyons and Duane Gary. Stefano D'Emilia threw three TD passes, including two to Jack Lavanchy, for Bridgewater State (2-6).
