U.S. Sen. Joseph Lieberman, preparing to leave office next month, told a capitol press conference Monday morning that he will use leftover campaign cash to create a $1 million endowment that will be fund college scholarships for high school students.
He did not say how much campaign cash he would be donating but pledged to raise enough money to create a $1 million scholarship.“I wish I could say thank you to everyone in Connecticut,” Lieberman said.
