Police: Bomb Threat Caller Says Son Was Dissatisfied With Food

Police: Woman calls in bomb threat to Rocky Hill pizza place, says son didn't like his food

ROCKY HILL — A woman called a Cromwell Avenue pizza restaurant on Friday to say her son, dissatisfied with the food there, had put a bomb in the restaurant, police said.

West Side Pizza and surrounding businesses were evacuated briefly after the restaurant received the call about 5:30 p.m., police said. The caller did not identify herself and hung up, police said.

Local police and volunteer fire responded to the scene, but no explosives were found in the restaurant. It opened up again about 25 minutes later.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact Det. Roy Bombaci at 860-258-7640.
