West Hartford Police are asking members of the community to turn in expired, unwanted or unused prescriptions on Saturday as part of National Take-Back Day.
West Hartford’s Take-Back day runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the West Hartford Public Works parking lot, 17 Brixton St.
Prescription and over-the-counter medications like tablets and capsules will be accepted, but police will not take intra-venous solutions, injectable medicines or needles. Police said that substances like marijuana or methamphetamine are not part of the initiative.
